About care & materials used 

-I recommend hand washing this cup because the handle is wood. The wood is stabilized & treated with an FDA approved food safe coat of polyx-oil which is water resistant. You can put it in the dishwasher but long exposure will wear down the protective coating. Wood & dishwashers are not BFF's. It is microwave safe. Some species of wood used to make the handle can get warm to the touch if left in the microwave for a long time so please be aware of this.-
